A visit to the island is limited to private boats or organized tourists. The island has two amazing beaches; one of pebbles and the other of large sand. The sandy beaches are ideal for sunbathing whereas the pebble beaches are good for snorkelling. 1) Shipwreck Shipwreck The area is not only famous in Zakynthos but in Greece as a whole. Shipwreck is only accessible by sea and currently it is the most photographed beach in the country. It is located on the west coast of the beautiful island. The waters are electric light blue in color giving it a scenic view. To add to this, there are numerous sulphurous caves along the beach.
